Reproductive Medicine Doctor: Dr. Richard T. Scott, Jr.Dr. Richard T. Scott, Jr. is a national leader in in vitro fertilization (IVF) and one of only a handful of physicians who is certified by the American Board of Bioanalysis as a high complexity laboratory director. This makes him uniquely suited to integrate both the clinical and laboratory protocols in an IVF program. As Laboratory and Practice Director at Reproductive Medicine Associates of Connecticut (RMA), Dr. Scott is responsible for IVF outcomes. While he does not see patients at RMA of Connecticut, all laboratory procedures and protocols are under his direction.

Dr. Scott is a founding partner of Reproductive Medicine Associates in Morristown, New Jersey. He completed his fellowship in Reproductive Endocrinology at the Jones Institute in Norfolk, Virginia, after receiving his M.D. degree from the University of Virginia Medical School. He was Clinical Director of the Reproductive Endocrinology Fellowship Program at the National Institutes of Health, Bethesda, Maryland, and previously founded the first IVF program in the federal government at Wilford Hall Medical School in San Antonio, Texas.

Dr. Scott has completed more than 15,000 IVF cycles. He is an award-winning researcher and author of more than 200 scientific papers and abstracts, serves as a reviewer for more than a dozen peer review journals, and has lectured on his research to reproductive endocrinologists worldwide. He has received more than a dozen awards for excellence in clinical and laboratory research. Dr. Scott is a recognized leader in the areas of ovulation induction for assisted reproduction, implantation, ovarian reserve screening, and oocyte donation.
